CLARK FREEPORT — Hundreds of jobseekers on Wednesday flocked to the jobs fair sponsored by Clark Locators and Investors Association (Cila) and Clark Development Corporation (CDC) at the SM City Clark Event Center.
Cila Executive Officer Justice Dalida told Sun.Star that the event aimed to bring job opportunities closer to Metro-Angeles jobseekers.

Dalida stressed that there are lots of potential job opportunities inside Clark Freeport.
CDC authorities earlier reported that some 4,000 jobs are awaiting to be filled-up.
But Dalida said that the challenge of looking for the most qualified manpower remains the greatest obstacle on the part of hiring officers.
“The job fair was aimed at gathering all companies in one location. We were able to achieve this and the reception of jobseekers was indeed encouraging,” Dalida said, stressing that SM City Clark was instrumental in making the job fair an obvious success. Some 800 local applicants attended the jobs fair.
SM City Clark Public Relations Officer Venus Manalang said SM City Clark supports the development and employment advocacies of Cila and CDC.
She said that SM City Clark is ideal for hosting job fairs as it is strategically located between Angeles City, Mabalacat and Clark Freeport.
“Hosting such job fairs is part of SM City Clark’s commitment to community development. More employment would translate to new opportunities and continued growth of the people in this area,” Manalang said.
Manalang also urged jobs fair organizers to look into the potential of the mall in hosting such events.
“We are happy that we have contributed to the good turnout of the Cila and CDC job fair. We are also thankful for the companies who participated in this event,” Manalang said.
