Dong, wife lead projects in CSF, Sta. Ana

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO – Third District Rep. Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales and his wife, Elizabeth, have been delivering basic services to the people here and nearby Sta. Ana town.

In a statement, Gonzales said he extended P100,000 in financial assistance to local farmers in Sta. Ana during the Farmers’ Day in Barangay Santiago last week.

Gonzales disclosed that at least 150 farmers from four barangays benefited from his assistance.

Gonzales said that the event aimed to provide farmers here a venue to air their concerns and other issues concerning farm inputs and assistance. The event was organized by the municipal government of Sta. Ana led by Mayor Rommel Concepcion.

Elizabeth, on the other hand, presided over the medical and dental mission of Gonzales at the congressman’s district office in Barangay Sindalan, here, on Wednesday.

At least 200 people were benefited, it was learned.

The event dubbed “Lovehealth-Medical and Dental Bonanza” is the latest of the social service missions Gonzales has entrusted to his wife for implementation in his district.

The St. Ezekiel Moreno Medical Surgical Dental Prayer Mission assisted the Gonzales couple in the outreach program.

AC distributes more PhilHealth cards

ANGELES CITY – A large number of Angelenos continue to benefit from the distribution of PhilHealth cards under the health program of Mayor Edgardo Pamintuan .

From May 29 to June 27, the city government through the help of the Barangay Affairs and Public Assistance Center, will be able to give over 3,000 PhilHealth Cards to indigent constituents of Angeles.

The recipients include barangay officials, barangay health workers and indigent families.

‘This is our little way to allow our constituents access to health services and get proper medication,” Pamintuan said.

Pamintuan added that enrolling indigents to PhilHealth without the need for them to pay any amount would greatly help them once they need medical care.

The distribution of health cards is in consonance with the city government’s continuing advocacy on health and is one of the priority projects being undertaken in partnership with the Philippine Health Insurance company.

This year, the local government assures that over 20,000 Angelenos will receive their cards for free.

Pamintuan said the most important aspect of his governance right now is to ensure that the citizens are healthy.
“Our citizens can’t be happy if they aren’t healthy,” Pamintuan said.

Recently, Pamintuan personally handed over PhilHealth cards straight to the residents of Barangay Cuayan.
The mayor said the people appreciate this personal approach.

“Since it is us who go to their respective barangays, the people won’t have to go to the city hall just to get something which is rightfully theirs,” Pamintuan confirms.

With the cards, the poverty-stricken families of Angeles will be able secure several medical and health care benefits that range from allowances for hospital room and board fees, drugs and medicines, x-ray and other laboratory processes as well as allowances for the professional fees of attending physicians.
