The time & date in Clark, Philippines is

Getting to Angeles City

Angeles City is a two to three hour drive from the airport in Manila. Your best bet is to arrange a pick up through your hotel, Percy Gonzales Travel, MRC’s Tour & Travel Services or Margarita Station. Margarita Station allows side trips on drop off and pickup at no additional charge provided it is within a 12 hour day for the driver. The normal charge is P2500 for a Toyota Super Grandia van, P2400 for Kia and other vans or P2000 for a car — including 3 cold drinks (per passenger). After 12 hours there is a small hourly charge that is far below the competition. Also, since their vehicles originate in Angeles, there isn’t a problem if you girlfriend wants to meet you on arrival or escort you on departure. Another option is to take the Swagman Hotel bus, called Fly-the-Bus, for P500 (about $10). After the long flight from the US, you’ll want to avoid the bus unless you’re on an extremely tight budget. The bus stops in Manila, you’ll have to transfer and it’s a big hassle.

Ground transportation to Angeles isn’t anything to worry about. Transportation back to the Manila airport is a different matter. Your driver couldn’t care less if you make your flight or not. It’s up to you to make sure to leave early enough. It’s better to arrive early and spend a couple of hours at the airport waiting around than to miss your flight.

Seair flies into and out of Angeles City (Clark Field) on weekdays. See Ken’s Seair page for more information. Easy transfers available to Manila domestic terminal and from Clark Field to any local hotel.
